Are Males Born or Made?
I think Males are made because  Once born, their parents and everyone else tell them and teach them what they have to do and how they have to be, or act according to their gender. So After their born their parents and other people kind of make them act and function the way their supposed to. Male are born, but when they are, they don't know how to act, what toys they can play with, how they have to feel, how they have to dress,  etc according to their gender. so that's why they are Made because from birth people start teaching them and filling them with information with how they are supposed to behave as a male. Male are born but then they are tought to be masculine so they can fit in society, that is why i think they are made.

  1. Your post nicely traces the process of inscribing gender onto a new born child, in this instance a child of the male sex is taught/trained to behave in a masculine manner. But how is the relationship between sex and gender justified or explained? In other words, are children born with a specific sex, or are they assigned sex by the doctors? Think about Fausto-Sterling's article. Then how and why are certain articles of clothing, specific toys, behaviors/characteristics regarded as masculine and forced upon males?

  3. Your post mostly describes how society has an effect on males, but males are also made during birth. For example, if the sex of that child is unknown then they are sometimes made into males. Are men made physcially by doctors? Or what kind of effects does society have upon them?
